Oh, it’s Valentines Day…

Valentines Day….we love to hate it. Pro: it’s on a Saturday, so the dreaded ‘Valentines Day at the office”, complete with chocolate, roses, and awkward conversation might be avoided. Con: That day will now take place on Friday.

We are both in love, yet sound so cynical. The truth is, we don’t really care about it. We could go on and on about how you should celebrate your love everyday, and not just on a ‘Hallmark’ holiday, but that’s over played. That being said, if you #SceneBoys don’t surprise us with flowers, a thoughtful gift, and dinner reservations, we will go batshitcrazy on you.

LLScene is spending Valentines Day weekend in New York for Fashion Week, so we will cheers to love together in the big city. For all of you spending the holiday in South Florida, here are some of our favorite Valentines Day date destinations this year.

 Boca Raton

The Addison

One of our dear friends was married at The Addison last year, so we are a little biased. What’s not to love about historic mansion. This screams romance as far as we are concerned.

Ambiance: You’ll experience romance as you glow under dim lighting with soft conversation and delicious food.

Casa de Angelo

One of our most favorite Italian restaurants in Boca, and it’s not because of its massive wine list, which has consistently been recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the best in the country.

Ambiance: Consistently good food in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Ft. Lauderdale

Blue Moon Fish Co.

For our laidback lovers, Blue Moon Fish Co. is the ultimate date night spot on the water. Enjoy the view of the Intercoastal and a raw bar comes stocked with oysters. (And you know what they say about oysters.)

Ambiance: Water-side view with a laidback approach to white-tablecloth dining.

 Market 17

Spice things up this Valentines Day. Named as Best Broward County Restaurant in 2012, there are many ways one can experience Market 17. They offer the traditional route of face to face indoor and outdoor seating, or you can dine in the dark. We have been dying to ‘dine in the dark’, but haven’t had the guts to try it yet. We highly recommend this concept for a guaranteed sexy Valentines Day night.

Ambiance:  Sensual touch and conversation with wine country cuisine.

Delray Beach

Carpe Diem

Enjoy a romantic date night on the Ave with a mix of traditional French and other European dishes. Seating is comfortable and the service is unparalleled. They create an experience out of dinner.

Ambiance: Setting a scene for a long dinner with intimate charm.

 Dada

While some people want glitz and glamour to stimulate amorousness, others prefer charm and quaintness. Set in a historic 1920s home, this Delray Beach restaurant is filled with artistic flavor, sure to set your Valentines Day evening plans off to the perfect start.

Ambiance: Twinkle lights, tiki torches, and a simply beguiling atmosphere.

 Palm Beach

 Renato’s, Palm Beach

Before Lindsey & Lilly decided to go to Fashion Week, Blake made Valentines Day reservations at this restaurant because it was voted the most romantic restaurant in Palm Beach. Added plus: it’s on Worth Ave, so Blake planned on surprising Lindsey with a splurge purchase.

Ambiance: Expect elegance, soft lighting, and the best Italian food on the Island.

The Leopard Lounge Restaurant at the Chesterfield Hotel

One of Palm Beach’s best loved institutions, the Leopard Lounge is the epitome of sleek sophistication. Whether you’re a 20 something looking for a little more in life, or you’re already the definition of worldly couple, you’ll love a Valentines night at The Leopard Lounge.  Jet black lacquered walls and a dark setting will put you in the mood for a sultry night.

Ambiance: Drink, indulge, and dance to romantic music.
